Volunteers

All volunteers will be welcomed with open arms and open hearts!

If you would like to volunteer, read the information on this page and send an email to volunteer@theStorehouseNetwork.com. We will then contact you to schedule the time and place you will volunteer.

Would You Like to Volunteer?

Thank you for considering The Storehouse Food Ministry as your place to serve. Training is required for all assignments, but we will do our best to assign you to tasks that you feel comfortable with. All volunteers must be at least 16 years of age. We also ask that you sign a release of liability the first time you volunteer.

We have five areas of need:

1.  Client Services
Gathering information and setting up client records, entering data in the computer. We will train you. Computer skills required.

2.  Prayer Partner
Prayer partners visit with clients one on one and encourage them with conversation and an offer of prayer. We will train you and let you shadow another prayer partner before you go on your own.

3.  Food Distribution
You will help clients select their food according to the number of people in their household and offer assistance carrying groceries and loading them in their vehicle. You will restock shelves, empty trash, general cleaning of rest rooms and waiting area, and whatever else is asked of you. You should be able to lift 25 pounds.

4.  Food Recovery Team
Inspecting, sorting and shelving foods that we receive from retail partners. Must be able to lift 25 pounds.

5.  Administrative Services
Helping fill in as receptionist, answering phones, helping with mailings, and general administrative duties.

Then the King will reply, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

Matthew 25:40
